Why would a socialist society even try to emulate the genesis of capitalist prices, which is based on commodity exchange? And, more importantly, how did people calculate before the total valorisation, which we observe in capitalism? In-kind indicators =/= value indicators.

On the contrary, much of that incentive today is driven by internal wage/salary carrots and sticks for managers which would be quite easy to emulate.
