it's unlikely he will get to do anything. cops already cut up pretty roughly, and it has only worsened the whole violence problem, because - as I said elsewhere - police already act as parts of criminal gangs.

That's true. Comments like "hehe there's nothing wrong with throwing commies out of helicopters xD" and "let's just kill criminals xD" are mostly just impotent signaling, but that doesn't mean they have no political content.

This is why you remain such a utopian land. Globalization isnt gonna stop just cuz you think we'll be all hunky dory with smaller political units (which historically has never been the case) The tendencies of capitalism are leading us to increased centralization & interdependence

Globalization doesn't require integrated governance, and the number of political units in the world is not falling, but rather increasing exponentially.

Globalization wouldn't be possible without some kind of hegemon. Kf the US gives up another will take their place. Those countries that do explode into sectarian violence do so on the basis of their semi feudal status. It's something that exists precisely counter to development
