Utilitarianism isn't hard to repair. He's doing it wrong because he's the king of virtue signalling, thus doing it wrong in purpose.

E.g. selfishness isn't anti-utilitarian. Most decisions are wrong. Almost all (99.99...%) don't have enough information to rule out wrong decisions about anyone but themselves. Thus they should only make decisions for themselves, being utterly selfish.
