White feminism is self serving, concerned only with growing White, often middle class, power. Willfully ignorant of gender issues outside of their Whiteness. No comprehension of history. No meaningful grasp of the lives of Indigenous women and femmes and other people of colour.
Tomorrow is National Sorry Day. Instead of whitewashing gender power struggles and appropriating the history of First Nations / Black people here and elsewhere, learn a little bit about colonisation and never use words you don't understand.
Right before Sorry Day, no less! White women forget that reproductive justice goes beyond abortion rights — it's also about decolonising parenting. We need (among other things) welfare & economic justice; reparations for the Stolen Generations; & the end of the new Stolen Gen.
