I can guarantee you that orange chicken bears very little resemblance to duck à l'orange!
I had a friend who grew up in the country with no diversity. The only Chinese takeaway served brought red and yellow sauces. When she moved to Sydney & went to a proper Chinese restaurant she was freaked out by the not-neon colours. That is what I see when I read orange chicken!
