#Sociology is heterosexist in its focus but gender & sexuality are taught as basic concepts across curriculum. Race is not.
Articles mentioning race, largely written by White sociologists, is not overabundance of sociology of race as studied critically by sociologists of colour
Moreover, #LGBTQIA sociologists of colour do not see the #sociology of race & sexuality as distinct areas of study.
That's #intersectionality.
