Pro tip: if you're writing racist, transphobic or sexist comments in public, thinking it's okay because you're hiding behind a pseudonym, you've proved yourself a bigot. Maybe you don't deserve a job until you can prove you won't make the workplace & world unsafe for minorities.pic.twitter.com/pHQ5p3F6c4

Ugh, white people incredulous that they might face a consequence for racism. Or that POC aren't immediately, gratefully complicit in their own dehumanisation.
-
And here it's the appeal of authority - a White mother writing to exert power over me, in my space that I've created to educate against bigotry, expecting me to just bow down. Maybe she should've raised her daughter better. Maybe her grown up daughter should be a better person
-
Also funny is the overdeveloped fear white people of the consequences of racism.
-
They fear their racism will temporarily halt their otherwise unencumbered ascent in the world. We know their racism will expose us to further discrimination, humiliation, pain and psychological damage. The discomfort of wielding privilege that has backfired, vs life as a POC.
-
Wait, if it was a pseudonym, doesn't the mom's request actually reveal the person behind that?
-
I know the daughter's name only because the mum told me, but the daughter used a pseudonym on my website. So I don't know which comment is written by the daughter.

Yep. Illustrates White privilege to a tee. "My daughter spreads hate speech and employers might not give her a chance if they find out. Contact me." N
