Ugh it happens to me too EVERY SINGLE TIME I FLY! I get the extra extra pat down too, where they pat down all of ones womanly parts. Honestly, it’s pretty triggering. I was told by an airport security person it’s because I’m “ethnically ambiguous” whatever that means

"Ethnically ambiguous" - that's atrocious!

Yes, every time. And if I say one wrong word or have one wrong facial expression, they will *vanish* with results for 20+ minutes. They cannot do much about negative results but they can punish you by being slow.
-
Oh yes they are so high on the power of racism. They know they can make you miss your flight.

I was randomly selected for an explosives test last time I flew from London Heathrow to LAX. I am a white Anglo male, so there are some random selections. No excuse for laughter, sorry you faced that.
-
I have spent most of my career flying back and forth for intense periods ranging from 3 to 6 months of the year. Every year. Of my adult life. And every time I fly I'm racially profiled. That's my life as a researcher. You are not being racially profiled. There's no comparison.
-
Yes, I was not racially profiled. There is no excuse for anybody to laugh at others who are being tested, especially if that person was selected by their race or other characteristic.

Happens to me too often as well though not every time. Apparently white transwomen are a significant terrorism threat
