This is awful! White people absolutely should announce their identities through race, incl women. Been meaning to do a thread on this - specifically because it better highlights their standpoint. Being a minority on one axis doesn't preclude racism- as White ppl seem to think.

This example you've given is illustrative: White genderqueer people are just as racist as cishet people. But they will often shield themselves saying, "As a minority..." (insert "I'm not racist but").
