I made the published version of my article available for free on my website and got harangued about copyright.

Even when Nature is supposedly centering marginalized voices, they do it in a very fucked up way.

I think that right now no one should go along with their model of doing something TERRIBLE & then getting traffic out of free responses

Unlike Science, Nature is a for-profit publication of Springer. So they are going to try and make money off the pain they caused.

Another disturbing pattern is that by cherry picking letters- having published racist defence of science- they can now recast it as "debate"
