When a person comes to my blog or social pages saying they're "offended" or "troubled" about anti-racism, they're defending White privilege

When a person is "offended" by critical discussions of racism, that's White supremacy. Racism is the problem, not our discussion of racism

As a lighter skinned Latina living in Australia I get to experience 2 sides: racism in Oz and white privilege in Latin America.
-
I didn't ask for it, but it still happens
This has made me more aware of racism in general, so I try to fight it. -
First thing is to acknowledge it and recognise that even though it's not personally my fault I still benefit from it.
-
Second is to realise that there are people that have it much worse than me and try to fight for them.
-
And third, listen to other people's experiences, try to learn from them and educate myself instead of getting defensive.
-
We have racism in Latin America & within Latin communities in Australia. As you say, we need to reflect on these dynamics not reproduce them
