1/ Missing the point here. OP is White queer woman comparing marriage inequality to racism. White people don't see that racism is pervasive
2/ Racism cuts across gender, sexuality, disability, poverty and beyond. Removing race from this discussion replicates the problem.

so yeah, white people tend to have to "imagine" such things, while POC, especially multiply disprivileged, suffer bodily injury b/c of it
