The question is: would they do this to White children? Absolutely not! Cambodian children are emotionally traumatised for "authenticity"

White people ALWAYS expect #POC to display "authentic" culture, including emotional responses, bc they feel entitled to judge "authenticity"

White people never have to live up to "authentic" cultural responses because they trust one another to do a job without jumping extra hoops.

Awful. But that's the function of racism - dehumanises #POC, including children, for benefit of White culture.

It is awful to see how easy and quickly people are willing to dehumanize others on many issues. But isn't this also driven by an inhumane

industry wanting to make as much profit as possible? Putting money making over feelings in general?

I mean by that, the film industry seems to support people who think the outcome justifies the means and that includes racism.

Not "people." *White* people. This is an issue of racism. All White people are complicit in maintaining this system, incl by reducing racism

So disgusting! And the fact that she's bragging about it in a famous (White) publication presuming only White people will notice & applaud.
