If you're asked to be a speaker for a legitimate equity org, request typicaly comes from that org, not initialy from conference company. 12/

I accept invitations to speak at a range of events from large conferences to regional gatherings. It depends on the situation.

One of the things I wish more events would commit to is travel scholarships for minority women, including for those in regional/remote areas

It is additional work for organisers, but getting sponsors to cover these travel bursaries is a good way to contribute to equity & diversity
