Has anyone done this yet for POC academics? https://dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2017/07/06/guest-post-the-day-i-broke-some-twitter-feeds-insights-into-sexism-in-academia-part-1/ …https://twitter.com/gbaucom/status/872446177580593152 …

WOC don't appear elsewhere. In fact one of the WOC examples (in text quote) comes from a WP. All the other tweets are from White women.

I was surprised at the lack of representation too. Thanks for this thoughtful analysis.

WP's networks are stratified; incl on social media. They're less likely to have ties to POC. Results would be different if OP was WOC.

Sorry to pop in - this is so interesting because I did see WOC reply w/explicit examples of racialized misogyny. Confusing.

Hi Divya. What is confusing about this? The discussion does not address race & nods to "minorities" with throw away line. That's Whiteness.

Maybe author will weigh in, but could she perhaps not want to step on toes? Bad also for WW to say what experience POC have?
-
Probably stepping in it myself now.

Hi. The author replicates marginalisation of WOC by entire framing, including switching to "POC" - not WOC - when mentioning race.
