Urgh don't get me started on the white ppl here who insist their Asian students change their names to be 'easier to pronounce'

People in extended family harassed by primary school teacher to change name to "make it easier." Refused. Kids forced to stand up to adults

sigh... the kicker is, Cian/Siobhan etc would refuse to change their name if they lived in China/India etc

Exactly. There's no justification for expecting people to change their names, regardless of where they live or their culture.
