It was like that in the US for a long time. Eventually they were able to digitize records relevant to non-white people. Give em time.

True, but that is more a result of past racism, and the destruction or non-creation of records for/about indigenous and brown people.

I used http://Ancestry.com to trace my ancestry back to Africa, various NDN's and of course Europe. Past racism => less records.
