I thought online abuse was illegal, but when I reported to cops was told the harassers probably didn't actually mean to kill me.
Ugh, I'm so sorry this happened to you, Kate! Women's safety should be taken more seriously. Awful to expect you to just deal with it.

How are things now? Has your work continued to follow up with a safety plan?

They gave me a fill in the blanks plan developed for domestic abuse victims, and told me to fill it in. That's it.

Oh no - abysmal! Do they even have policies to protect from online harassment of faculty & students? It sounds like they don't. Scary!
