Women managing online harassment is not comparable to vigilantism. Online abuse is illegal. Women's defence is not taking law into own hands

I thought online abuse was illegal, but when I reported to cops was told the harassers probably didn't actually mean to kill me.

They gave me a fill in the blanks plan developed for domestic abuse victims, and told me to fill it in. That's it.

Oh no - abysmal! Do they even have policies to protect from online harassment of faculty & students? It sounds like they don't. Scary!

I call it Recreational outrage. I blocked a guy today who defended Bill Cosby while admitting he had 0 knowledge of the case.
