True, sometimes I get elevated to Professor title (I am not) my partner is usually demoted to Ms (she has a PhD)...gender, ethnicity AND age

She hates the Mrs. [her surname] most...no title + presumed marriage + presumed husband's name acceptance...triple whammy.

And then you can get Mrs. (man's firstname man's lastname) for total 100% erasure. Ugh!

I know women academics who've gotten this on formal invites. Also academic forms that presume woman partner can't be a "Dr".
