At this particular point in my life, I find that I'm not completely able to step away from analogies of attack in discourse.

Kim. Many of my uncles are in the armed forces. My father was a cop. Both my brothers are black belt martial arts. I did kickboxing.
My life has also been filled with violence. Yet I manage not to rely on combative language in how I discuss minorities.
