I've followed a lot of people lately and I feel like I might end up missing things in my timeline because it'll get busy. Is that weird?
Use lists. I keep most of mine private; organised by themes and expertise plus my "fave tweeters" so I never miss them.

I also mute or unfollow news sites that publish often because algorithm will favour them over regular people. I put these on lists too.
