A note to White people who want to be allies: when you tag #POC in conversations on racism, you are bringing [more] racism into our lives.

TW racism, transphobia, ableism: Comment on my blog. I strongly suspect it's the same writer who attacked me about SciMarch.

Same style of writing & same themes: irate specificallly about sociology; it's a personal attack; angry about gender; etc.
#socmoderation -
That White male writer was tagged by one of my White followers on 2 threads & others are sharing his original attacks.Likely this is revenge

This is the worst, but I have another two abuse comments & four other passive aggressive comments. That's just my blog.
#socmoderation -
Then there's my various social media, my personal accounts & NFP groups I run. I don't accept that abuse is the cost of public science.

So please, White people, understand that despite your "good intentions" your need to have
#POC rescue/validate/notice you impacts our health -
*Do* call out racism. Do the work! But think about the fact that
#POC carry a huge burden, greater for WOC esp from multiple minority groups -
BTW multiple abuse is just today. Every time
#POC writes, it's heaped abuse PER THREAD/POST. Most of us write multiple things any given time -
There's racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia/ableism on street/going school/work/shopping/etc.
#POC face abuse ALL THE TIME online & offline - 1 more reply
