Guess what's on the front of the @ScienceMarchDC page? It's the co-opting of #maginsci by those who resisted diversity & who excluded URM!pic.twitter.com/eDObPzDi0m

3/ #Marginsci is used for conversation led by whom? No attribution to Dr @ThePurplePage. No connection to those who contributed to critique
4/ #Marginsci subsumed. Attempt to override current conversation by talking about "future" & "most negatively affected." No mention of URM
Classic whitewashing of social protest movement. Minorities have been removed. Coversation appears to be about any/everybody. #marginsci
5/ "Share your personal stories & experiences, resources, & reflections at the intersection of science, society, & the future." #marginsci
Wow. Ignored #intersectionality at the march, appears to evoke it here, but in fact removes concept from its anti-racist meaning. #marginsci
Digital postcards don't even work. So what's the point? The co-opting, because of unclear language, could be perceived to mean "science."
It's lazy and ill conceived. Also their international actions are a joke, showing they have zero interest in creating a global movement.
Telling also how @ScienceMarchDC seems totally silent on #peoplesclimatemarch - is climate change too political?
They have some minorities up now that the march is over. It's like a whole new page. I I'll give them a chance.(Insert sarcasm anywhere)
Did you see they're not even pretending to have diversity committee now?
It's the same people minus the WOC who were doing bulk of E&D.
Not at all surprised, it's what they do. Co- and water down.
