This is not why intersectionality exists. In fact, most people who say they are "intersectional feminists" haven't read the original works.

That's okay because these works are academic; but they consume White women's popular writing on intersectionality & emulate. That's not okay

White minority women who exempt themselves from critical thinking on race are doing White feminism even if they say "intersectionality."

They don't realise there is a mountain of LGBTQIA/disability/class & other studies written by White minority W, & they act just like them

Evolution of all minority studies by women is this: mainstream scholarship, dominated by White able-bodied cis-het middle class men.>>

Mainstream feminism, dominated by White able-bodied cis-het middle class women.>> Minority studies dominated by White minority men>>

Minority women's studies, dominated by minority WW>> Intersectionality studies, led by minority WOC. Path not linear but you see pattern

Minority White women who practice White feminism can be identified by who they cite, collaborate with, supervise, employ & even on Twitter.

There are definitely White women from majority and minority backgrounds who do NOT practice White feminism. See their actions & networks.

So that's an explanation to say: I witness and recognise your frustration. It's a pattern that's endemic in many communities. It is complex.
