Right, I started in Physics, but not only was I one of three women in the classes, I was the only black person. I saw the issues early on

and switched to Computer Science. Then, I discovered a whole other level of discrimination when dealing with WP in the work force.

It must have been very tough - you've gone from one discipline that has low # of women & Black people to one of the worst for both!

Strangely enough, I was fine in college. In the workplace not so much, the biggest problems came from arrogant white women.

But even the good ones, I had to struggle with getting them to listen, while trying to work through their unmentioned stereotype of a BW.
