If only these people cared about Black Lives as they care about the word "nonpartisan"

The focus on "nonpartisan" is about scientists engaging in the worst virtue signaling. "See we are objective!" It's a partisan behavior.

And this virtue signaling is elitist and selfish.

It's both naive & calculated; having never had to engage with politics before, they think being "nice" will get them heard by "all sides."

It's a naïveté built on believing that grassroots organizers are stupid and that scientists know better.

Having been raised by grassroots organizers -- people shutting down freeways, protesting shootings -- I take personal offense at this.

"If women can get their shit together then is must be easy, right? It's not like they can do hard things like science"
