Me: But I don't want to get married. You: But what if your partner proposed?!!? Me: ......................Did you not hear what I just said?
-
-
I heard the "but you would be such a great Mom!" too many times already :/
-
The ticking you hear isnt my biological clock, it's a countdown to me exploding from my reproductive choices being questioned too many times
-
I have often feel like punching ppl in the face when asked abt "my clock". One day, I'll stop imagining doing it and will do it instead!
-
People shouldn't assume "kids or not" is always a black and white decision. We weighed it up. It was hard. I'd prefer to regret no than yes
-
Reproductive decisions, struggles, indecision, circumstances... it's all so personal and individual. I wish it was treated as such.
-
And are men put under such scrutiny? No? Then leave women be.
-
I'm glad I can yell into the twittersphere and have so many great people yell back in solidarity and support from so many perspectives!

It's not that I don't want kids, I think I'd like one, but when I'm ready. And I don't know when that'll be because I'm terrified of labor.
-
People need to respect this; most women have their first child after 30, later for educated women - for whatever reason makes sense to them!

I KNOW! That's one of the most annoying things to deal with! I often get unwanted notifications that my clock is ticking...

Women are devices that go off and expire.

But please, just because we're women doesn't mean we *by default* must have a child. Urgh!
-
I think it's weird how bad people can handle it when others make different decisions/live their lives diff. than they do. What do they care?
-
Right? Need to be accepting of the choices people make in their lives. They make them for their own reasons. Judging them for it is wrong.
-
Yes, it's not them to live with the decisions made. And I might have an opinion on how they live, but I don't mind if it's diff. to mine.
-
Actually, that happens all the time, that people choose differently than me. If they are happy with it and it hurts noone -fine with me.
-
Just imagine how alarmingly boring this world would be if everyone was thinking the same.
-
I was going to say *literally* the same thing!! Different choices make the world vibrant! They make us *human* =)
-
Absolutely
