So, I feel like I'm in an awkward spot, because I don't think things will change. And I feel conflicted about what to do.

I'm okay, once I stepped away and felt like I wasn't wasting labor I felt better.

I worry most about harmful messages that reinforce the idea that science isn't for everyone.

Sadly this is the message that POC, LGBTQIA & disabled people are getting loud & clear: you don't belong here. @JacquelynGill #marginsci

I honestly think most don't understand that this is the message, or why. They're still in "n-blind" mode.

I also think there a lot of self-undermining that comes with being new organizers and not reaching out to seasoned folks.
