I haven't made a big deal about this, but I quit the march because the internal culture was so frustrating.

I was spending a lot of time spinning wheels, at the detriment to my other work and efforts.

I saw some progress with the new statement, culture seemed to be changing, but I felt internal culture was dysfunctional.

And I have felt very conflicted, because I didn't want to undermine some of the folks still working internally.

And also, conflicted about undermining the march itself, which I still think is necessary, even if it's let us down so much.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to do more. Some of us felt like any progress came at the expense of our relationship with the team.

I was fine with that until it was clear that anything I did or suggested was viewed as an attack on teammates.

It often felt as if there was not space for constructive feedback. Critics were considered disloyal.
