Hi. What do you mean? Those two religions use those methods to evangelise. That's not what Muslim prayer is for.

Classes may be poorly timed with prayer times which is why we need to be aware and thoughtful of Muslim students.

No. And this thread is about children being targeted by administration for practising their faith. This is inexcusable @NitaHowells
-
Prayer is obligatory practice for Muslims 5xday, resulting in skipped classes or public prayer if no space provided

And yet there is plenty of research showing that education outcomes improve when institutions support prayer times. @NitaHowells

My research supports the freedom of religion of Muslims. I'm not okay with Muslims being targeted by anyone. @NitaHowells

Note sure what you're doing here. I don't allow racism on my threads. You seem focused on conversion & being anti-Muslism.

You're a new follower. Feel free to learn. But please don't monopolise my thread with Islamophobia. You're off topic on this thread

You're here pushing an agenda about Islam that has nothing to do with this discussion on student rights. Good bye and good luck.

A colleague was telling me she got her daughter baptised only so she could participate in "religion" class (bible studies)
-
If she wasn't baptised, she'd likely not be allowed to take the class & be ostracised by the other students. Theyre atheists
-
That's outrageous. In Austria? What city? I went to Catholic school. Muslim kids did not have to participate in religious ed.
-
small town near salzburg. If you don't go to bible study you just sit in the corridor and do nothing
-
That's awful! Those poor kids.
-
indeed. People can be so cruel

Maybe the school could provide them a safe place to do so...a prayer room?
-
Absolutely! Admin attitudes also need to change. To pray provocatively: Orientalism strikes again.
