By critiquing a movement that should represent me yet embodies many of the systemic issues in science, I can raise awareness w/ less risk

It's easier to address racism, sexism, ableism in science as concepts rather than head-on with colleagues that perpetuate it. #marginsci

There is a reason that many of the people unhappy with @ScienceMarchDC are minorities, women, have disabilities, are queer, etc. #marginsci

There's a reason we have chosen this platform to speak out instead of in lab or at the department beer hour. #marginsci
