I am so confused by every choice that's been made here.

I'm keeping the faith. But if you look at comments on their diversity threads, which are unmoderated - filled with veiled hatred.

I'm still trying to give them the time they've asked for. But I'm beginning to think my activism is better spent elsewhere.

I was lucky. My local women's march went beyond and explicitly included disabilities + trans + sex workers.

Which was why I was hoping Cinci's science march would follow suit!

Begs the question: why are local SciMarch not linking & learning from local women's march? Reinvent the wheel for sci?

Yes I responded to Steven Pinker's comments on his thread. He's an educator. Comments show lack commitment to inclusion

Also significant that he's a cognitive psychologist. It's not just STEMM. Social sci also suffers from colonialism.

The linear thinking is strange. Why can't marching, voting and running for office be included?

that is laughable b/c the reason women's march was a hit was that inclusion was central.

It's about raising awareness and showing up. It's the job of organisers to get public engaged.

Are we talking about the science march? If so who exactly is organizing it?
