2/ #Allies don't get to demand how minorities will meet demands of equity & diversity as if they are The Experts judging Inclusion.

3/ #Allies don't get to set the tone for discussion on #intersectionality nor how this term should be defined according to their standards.

4/ #Allies don't come to places for equity & diversity & then dominate, demanding cookies for what they do (when they feel like doing it)

5/ #Allies don't get to drift on kudos for having spoken up for specific issues (picking & choosing when they stand up).

6/ Allies just do the work, without needing acclaim, thanks, centreing their experience, or pushing own narrative over a minority's struggle

7/ I belong to too many equity & diversity spaces where White women & men only come to the aid of White women & ignore #POC issues.

10/ I know some #POC & White women are grateful for #allies & want to thank them publicly - sadly this is a win for racism and sexism.

11/ The work of anti-racism & anti-sexism is hardest on the people who experience these inequities, esp WOC who experience both. #allies

12/ Places where White women held up for anti-racism while WOC are told they're scary/angry for doing the same: that's oppression. #allies

13/ Where White men focus on the effects on trolling on themselves even though they can opt out of discussions: that's oppression. #allies

14/ Where White people throw around the word #intersectionality without looking at Whiteness: that's oppression. #allies

15/ By the way: #intersectionality is at a minimum gender + race (+ Other identities). White women conveniently forget the racism. #allies

16/ Equity & diversity spaces must be a wonderful where you can "forget" the protection & benefits of #WhitePrivilege. #allies

17/ Equity & diversity spaces are usually hard w/ microaggression for minorities, in different ways, if White people are present. #allies
