@OtherSociology I'd like family members who are lawyers and doctors working in these underprivileged communities to not die, too.

@OtherSociology & unfortunately, there are a lot of medical contraindications to vaccinations in my extended family, so it's not theory

@OtherSociology & I don't know what the breakdown in adherence in Oz is, but in US, it's become a largely wealthy white thing

@rocza Prison system in USA & Australia are racist. It hasn't worked on drugs, sex work & other health problems. Why would it work for this?

@OtherSociology b/c at least in the US, anti-vax tends to be a position of privilege, and not a minority community issue?

@rocza All those issues also involve high proportion of White people - they are just not punished for these behaviours.

@OtherSociology Largely because criminal codes are written in ways to benefit. But again, not talking criminal codes.

@rocza How do you see these laws being conceived in a way that ONLY targets White people when the entire justice system is racist?
