Okay twitter. Story time. While on prac at a Catholic school it was “discovered” by members of staff that I was in a same sex relationship. I have no social media (bar twitter), I did not inform staff and I definitely was not telling students.

Hi. What happened to you is unlawful, irrespective of the religious context. I see you put in a complaint & are unsure of the outcome. If you want further help, write to your Uni PEX & the Dean and get in touch with the Dep of Edu. If you need help, reach out to me and I can help

I think I might start to consider checking with the uni if they did remove the school from their prac list. The tertiary supervisor also told me he was going to fail a student (and named her) while visiting me, something she wouldn’t have wanted disclosed

Good luck with this follow-up. Why it might be worth considering contacting the Dean & Dep of Edu is that this school is not safe for other pre-service teachers beyond your university. I know all to well how draining complaints can be, so self-care first. Thanks for speaking out!
