NB: I'm at the Sydney Writers Festival, seeing an amazing Black woman, surrounded by White women. As Dr Cooper is talking about White women's tears, & how they don't act in solidarity with #WOC. WW beside me leans over tells me to dim my phone - my silent tweeting is "annoying"
White women, who are used to seeing themselves represented, come to Black and Brown people's talks and huff and puff when they talk about race and racism specifically about White women.
And on top of that, they want to put the few #WOC in audience back in their place.
