Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help. Hopefully your employer is being supportive, but sometimes they may not have the resources to protect public academics.

Thankfully I have the full support of my employer. The emotion, shock, and then time expanded on supporting every one to do due diligence in these kinds of matters is exhausting but thankfully I work for a strong institution who do support me.

This is great to hear! But I'm sorry you're going throught this. The brunt of institutional racism being levelled at you is unacceptable. I hope this journalist's employer will take internal action to discipline the employee (and others) on abuse of power and unethical tactics

He’s utilising his employment position to make his threats so once I have the time I will be pursuing action.

Good on you. He's violating MEAA Journalist Code of Ethics, which you doubtless know. If it would help, I'm happy to put in a complaint to them over his public tweets.
