Scientists reproduce gender inequality by the choices they make every day - from their curriculum that whitewashes #POC & minorities, to the speakers they invite to events, to scientists they choose to engage on Twitter and voices they ignore
If you don't notice racial injustice & minority exclusion on an elitist list in one of the most famous science publications, what are you ignoring in your classrooms, labs, professional societies, neighbourhoods? White people's vision of gender equity maintains all inequalities.
As an older white male (ie one of the privileged), I agree 100% with everything you say here. What do I do to help? I have my ideas, but would like to hear and learn from your views and experience. I want to help break down racism and sexism, not continue it... :-)
