At this point "democratic debate" really means excusing an highlighting all the racist and white supremacist ideologies of the early C19th-20th. It's like a nostalgia for times of old where straight white well off men could say what they want and call it "logic".
The Economist has been widely critiqued for lacking diversity and publishing racist articles. True! "Like minded people in an eco chamber" "these words have guided us for 175 years." This is a publication that has actively kept out
#POC from its pages for two centuries and yet they think sponsoring more White supremacy is the opposite of an "echo chamber."
