It is incredibly frightening how quickly White people turn to anger, threats and recklessness when #POC disrupt their 'causal' racism, sometimes by simply pointing out facts or refusing to laugh at their jokes or reassure them they're 'good.' They make sure to leave us unsafe.

Thanks for sharing, will retweet. Do you have a hunch how often people become defensive, aggressive in its various forms, superior, silent, silencing, or remove themselves? Whereas how often is white fragility not present, but a situation can remain constructive?

Hi. Often many these varied responses of White fragility manifest in a single interaction. https://www.amazon.com/White-Fragility-People-About-Racism/dp/0807047414 … In terms of White fragility not being present - that would be a conversation where White people listen, reflect on their race privilege, and change as a result

Will put on my to-read list, thanks! I was thinking specifically about whether there is a correlation between being at peace with oneself, flaws and all, capability to accept feedback, and white fragility. I’ve seen so many extremely defensive, aggressive reactions upon call-out.
