and has their own biz. He was a FT instructor and had his own CPA comp. In HS my lab mate had a quest that my tchr told us to figure out. Asian team behind had the same question and she gladly helped them. Now life requires too much work to get all of the luxury...

Awful but sadly unsurprising that your sons face similar forms of institutional racism in schools that you encountered, even in a supposedly progressive area. Racist teachers are allowed to damage Black children by a system that expects kids to fail, regardless of their talent

This sounds like a professor that is inaccessible to students. Yes, some have life issues (that's bigger deal for some, and getting more common), but at the end of the day, these students are not comfortable asking q's in class.
