Oh no! I'm cursing I didn't get the flu shot. I booked to get one a couple of months ago at work and promptly got sick, so cancelled. Then never got around to it.
Now here we are. In devastation town. Population: me

Stress catching up to us, combined with exposure when traveling? That would be my guess.
Yeah. But also someone must pay.... And that someone is not me, even though I should've taken better care of myself. It's partly due to public travel (increased exposure to others with cold & flu) & partly a cognitive bias that we notice our sickness when we take a break
