Note that when you build a large coherent structure like this the WFC takes a couple of frames to resolve. But that's fine, you can keep building and interrupt it mid way.

To answer some common questions: This is for a city building toy I'm making. It does not have a name yet. It will be available to the public at some point, but I don't know when (follow me on here and I'll let you know)

How did you come up with all of those cases? Did you have a spreadsheet, or did you generate a list procedurally and then created them semi-manually? Any tools you made? I'm genuinely really interested in knowing more about how you approach and develop stuff!

-
Haha. Towards the end I just built random shapes and fixed cases as they appeared. It's quite a complex problem, actually. I do some things to make the Marching Cubes requirements less straight forward, and then all modules also need fitting neighbors etc.

now add first-person-view fly through!!! nah, just kidding. but rooftop color variation would be nice
-
I tried that, but I didn't like it. With all the wall color variation, I think it needs the uniform roof color to tie it all together

“378 modules” – I think this is key point and a good reminder that procedural generation does not necessarily means less work.
-
Haha. No this was a ton of work. Though this somewhat defeats the purpose of WFC. If it was not interactive, I wouldn't have had to cover all possible cases, and I could have gotten away with way fewer modules (like in Bad North)
