    I found the chain email from 2010 and the fake quotes are AMAZING now. It’s all about how sad he is that news coverage dropped since his election and so he “absolutely obsesses over Fox” all day instead of working as a result.

    Early in the Obama years, an older relative sent me a chain e-mail purporting to be an interview with an anonymous WH official saying basically a parody version of what a conservative critic would think happens. Today feels like a really weird echo.

    I don’t think it does, actually. What’s happening now is about political appointees and White House staff, not the bureaucracy.

    I thought it would look more like sabotage by incompetence not misdirection and internal resistance, but man this held up.

    Would be good if one R on the cmmtee said: I can't put you on the court unless I am positive you will enforce US v Nixon in context of subpoena to testify. If I dont get that and you wont recuse, what am I to do?

    It's basically this endless thread mashed into one op-ed. But that thread is itself absolutely insane and it's even crazier it's now out there in this form.
