A step further: imagine Clinton had picked Reno during the investigation after firing the prior AG because he felt the prior AG wasn’t defending him sufficiently and he wanted an AG who would.

-
Exactly! I can't believe the media is buying this without questioning!
-
Media isn’t. But has no power to do anything about it. Congress does.
-
Media has a lot of power, when they investigate and report. (See reporting on Watergate). Accepting the Barr Summary, w/out question, as if it's an accurate, complete & unbiased synopsis of the Mueller report is not doing the full job.
-
I don’t know what media you’re watching and reading, but I’m not seeing “roll over and play dead” at all.
-
Nor I. At all. Bots?
-
Some media is being, if not absolutely accepting of Barr's, far too credulous. A lot of "Mueller report says" instead of "Barr says Mueller report says"

Also, imagine if Janet Reno said she was going to give Bill Clinton the opportunity to review for anything he'd like to claim executive privilege on, prior to releasing the report.
-
Also imagine if the author of the Starr Report became a Supreme Court justice. (I know this breaks the hypothetical format of this exercise but I am still not over this)
-
This is disgusting. How can we sink so low? We’ve been had & it’s going to have dire consequences.
-
Also, imagine if the Starr Report focused exclusively on Whitewater.

There shouldn't have been a Starr Report
-
Absolutely! Thx for pointing that out.
-
there also shouldn't have been a mueller report
-
Ooo.. Mr. X, devastating from both sides of the plate.
-
And there sure in hell shouldn’t have been a Barr report.
