They also wouldn’t let you have your phone out back then. Now they don’t care.
Didn’t let you have it out because all you could do with a phone back then is talk loudly to someone because of likely terrible service
I want 2002 back!!!
Im sure Tiger does too...
Relax. Most are still watching the ball rather than looking at the screen. And now they get a photo as a memory. It you offered every person in the 2002 pic the opportunity to take a photo of that moment with a modern phone, 99% would take the opportunity.
Wait, you know they had cameras in 2002 right? Most are taking videos to post to Instagram or Snapchat. Probably won’t even save to cam roll
Um, right . . . which is precisely Yoni's point, as I and thousands of others take it.
RT @Jamie_Edmonds, Detroit TV sports anchor: "Put the phones down. Be in the moment."
Stop belittling people for wanting to have a picture as a sentiment.
Most look like they are watching the ball but the phone is still pointed at Tiger. Since most fans at tournaments stay at one hole the entire day, I understand wanting a pic of Tiger the few minutes they actually get to see him.
Plus he's never played in STL and prob never will again.
What if that’s him but from the future
I see nothing wrong with this. When we have the chance to record something so that we can re-live that experience again at a later point, why not? Most people are still watching the ball, but using there phone to capture a memory that will last a lifetime.
But the same people are crying over younger people using there smartphone to capture a moment.
But how many actually go through their pics??? You post them, get your likes on fb, and move on to the next photo opportunity. Just saying.
Yup. Pure vanity and ego: "Look where I am . . ."
Do you have a phone in your hand ?
No. Nearby, naturally, but how 'bout letting others make personal observations without challenge or interrogation? This thread is about sharing opinions, not proving who's "right" or "wrong." Felix.
2/ Not everyone tweets from a phone, Felix. Some of us use laptops or tablets. Others (a few?) presumably still use desktops. #DontAssume
I never said anything about tweets, I just don't like elderly persons (mostly elderly) who are saying, "this generation isn't living in the moment" or some sort of this but then doing this. Hopefully you have a great day ?! (Don't know what time it is in the states right now)
