California's problems have to do with its spending programs and its regulations that go BEYOND what the Federal government requires. You can't roll back your regulations if they are *less* burdensome than the federal governments. How is this a mystery to you?

Yes, ranked on "activity" (which being 4th for having the 5th largest economy in the world is hilarious) but its ranked 35th for "Health". Meanwhile the states with the least tax burden and fewer regulations are healthier. You're ranked 4th, but you're dying isn't an own.
