Game Industry Story Time:
-Went to BlizzCon in 2005 for a career in gaming panel. Got hired, before finishing my degree.
-After 8 years, left after wrapping Reaper for a double promotion (entry to Senior #RIPWildStar)
-Avoided Layoffs taking a position at Amazon #RIPBreakaway
-Had an amazing experience at Amazon but left because [redacted] and went to HiRez -Just finished 4 wonderful years at HiRez and am about to start on a new opportunity but can't say nothing but great things about my time at HiRez and will truly miss everyone there!
I actually can't say anything bad about any of my former employers because every time I've left has been a gut wrenching decision and it never ever gets easier to do. I've been doing this for 15 years now and I still can't eat or sleep whenever I'm facing these decisions!
My first day at Blizzard was the Tuesday after MLK in 2006 for anyone who thought my math was off. 
It takes a little while to move from Rhode Island to CA in your early 20's when your mom wants one last holiday with everyone at home.
