How many [professional] emails deep is it okay to start using smiley faces? Asking for a friend.
I used to get in trouble for putting smiley faces on responses to jiras. For some reason they came across as sarcastic and people thought I was trying to be mean.

I totally do that. No one’s told me I shouldn’t yet, so I guess I’m not in trouble (yet)?

For me it happened about 10 or 12 years ago. I'm too cynical now to care.
